Strategic Partnership to Create Unique End-to-End Youth Sports Solution from Registration Through Game Day
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (March 16, 2023) — To kick off the spring 2023 youth sports season, RCX Sports, the premier youth sports experience business, and MOJO, the award-winning youth sports platform, join forces to bring the best of the MOJO app to more than 500,000 flag football families across the United States under the NFL FLAG umbrella. Flag football is one of the fastest growing youth sports nationwide, with more than 1.5 million kids playing, according to Aspen Institute’s Project Play.
The partnership begins with NFL FLAG, which boasts 1,800+ leagues across all 50 states and Canada. Starting this spring, families that sign up for flag football will be automatically onboarded into the MOJO app, where they’ll be able to access the latest information from their leagues on schedules and rosters as well as coaching content built in partnership with NFL FLAG, team messaging, scorekeeping and multimedia and highlight sharing.
As part of this strategic partnership, MOJO will integrate with RCX Sports’ proprietary Matrix scheduling platform. This landmark integration will create a true end-to-end youth sports experience that begins with league operations on the RCX side and moves seamlessly into the coaching, playing and fan experience with the MOJO app.
“We couldn’t be more excited to put MOJO in the hands of our NFL FLAG families,” said Izell Reese, CEO of RCX Sports. “This is just the beginning of a powerful partnership that translates into the best possible experiences for our league operators and, ultimately, for the kids on the field.”
“This is a natural next step for MOJO and RCX,” said Reed Shaffner, COO and co-founder of MOJO. “MOJO and RCX Sports were both founded on the same idea: that accessible youth sports can transform the lives of young people for the better. And now, we’re using the best in technology to elevate the experience of youth sports for everyone involved.”
All RCX-affiliated leagues will be upgraded to MOJO’s playing experience platform, which gives league operators the ability to create custom practice plans and curriculums, publish custom media, and utilize organization-wide analytics and messaging, in addition to all of the consumer-facing features of the MOJO app, including two of the latest, FanZone and MOJO Player Cards.
Moving forward, the partnership will extend to all RCX-affiliated organizations, which include Jr. NBA and MLB, pro leagues that are also MOJO partners.
The MOJO app is available on iOS and Android platforms. To learn more about MOJO, visit mojo.sport or follow MOJO on social media via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. To learn more about how MOJO can help your league or organization, visit www.mojo.sport/organizations.
