President and General Manager
As the President and General Manager of Reigning Champs Experiences (RCX), I am dedicated to the company’s mission of improving the accessibility and inclusivity of sports by enhancing the youth sports experience and creating opportunities for all athletes to play. Prior to joining RCX, I spent 7 years in the NFL playing for the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills.
My favorite part of this job has been helping secure partnerships with top leagues and sports-centric brands including the NFL, Jr. NBA, NAIA and adidas, which have led the expansion of our company’s youth-sports events. When I’m not at the airport, I enjoy family time in Atlanta with my wife, son and daughter.
VP of Operations and Strategy for NFL FLAG
As Vice President of Operations and Strategy for NFL FLAG, I make sure that RCX is delivering the best possible experience to our league organizers and flag football participants across the country. My team is focused on making sure that NFL FLAG leagues have the tools they need to succeed and grow. Prior to RCX, I was the Director of Operations at Groupon.
My favorite part about my job is working with all sorts of people across the country to grow the game of flag football and increase participation in youth sports in general (and working along-side a fantastic team while doing it!). I have a BA in economics from Vanderbilt and an MBA from Kellogg. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, traveling with friends and family, and all things Boston sports.
Vice President of Operations
As Vice President of Event Operations, I oversee all of the logistics associated with our event properties. Prior to RCX, I was a professional and Division I softball player and worked for other events companies, planning and managing youth events in multiple sports.
My favorite part of my job is creating experiences for athletes, coaches and parents that they will remember forever and making an impact in their lives. In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my two kids, reading and testing out new recipes.
Head of Product & Business Development
As Vice President of Business & Product development for RCX I make sure that we provide league operators the best path to growth and success by utilizing my 20+ years of experience in the youth sports industry. Prior to joining RCX I was one of the co-founders of National Flag Football and was instrumental in its growth to become the largest flag football program in the country. My favorite part about my job is working with new and existing league operators to mentor, guide and help them grow their businesses to reach their fullest potential. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and use my engineering background daily to find solutions to common problems and help implement them like the development of the Matrix league software and numerous product lines. In love spending my spare time with my family and friends, living life to its fullest and enjoy the challenges of finding the best “hidden gem” restaurants in any city I visit.
As Marketing Director for RCX, I oversee all marketing and branding for our event properties. I have been working in special events and youth sports for over the last 14 years.
My favorite part about my job is having the opportunity to get creative, think outside the box and problem solve. Also, I love our team! It is like I’m back on the field playing soccer. I played D1 soccer and graduated from Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan. The lessons I’ve learned so far in life came from playing sports and have positively impacted my professional career.
In my spare time when I am not at an event, I love to go to flea markets, hang with my dog, run and try to play rec soccer.
Senior Director of Field Operations
As Sr. Director of Game Operations for RCX, I am responsible for all athletic activities that take place on the field or court. Prior to RCX, I graduated from Winona State University, where I played football and graduated with a degree in marketing. Following college, I held multiple sales and marketing positions with various companies, but it didn’t take long to realize that my true passion is in sports.
My favorite part about my job is creating memorable experiences for youth athletes while watching them excel at something they love. In my spare time, I’m a simple man who enjoys R&R with family and friends and a day out on the golf course.
As the Creative Director for RCX, I lead the charge in designing the best user experience for our athletes, sponsors and partners. I believe great design can make or break a successful brand and that it’s up to a great team to make it all come together. I have worked in the event design space for the last 20 years for companies like Yahoo! Sports/Rivals, NASCAR, IBM, Kohler, and Compassion International.
My favorite part of this job is creating engaging experiences that get athletes excited about the game. And traveling…I love to travel! In my spare time, I enjoy wandering around the globe with my kids, SUP, or Kayaking and remodeling just about everything.
Director of NFL FLAG
As the Director of the NFL FLAG Program, I help start new NFL FLAG Football programs across the country and around the world! Prior to RCX, I was the Sales Manager of the NFL FLAG program at USA Football since 2014. I was a student-athlete at Indiana University from 2004-2009, where I played strong safety and was a part of the 2007 Insight Bowl team. I graduated with two degrees in telecommunications & criminal justice. After college, I played arena football in the IFL for the Bloomington Edge!
My favorite part of my job is helping new and existing tackle and flag leagues evolve their football programs! In my spare time, I like to stay active with a healthy lifestyle, by reading the daily news, working out at the gym and attending live music or sports events!
NFL FLAG National Tournament Director
As NFL FLAG Tournament Director for RCX, I am responsible for managing and operating all tournaments. Prior to RCX, I was a Director of Tournaments for multiple organizations.
My favorite part about my job is traveling the country to all the different places we host tournaments and operating these events at the highest level. In my spare time, I enjoy coaching my kids in sports, fishing and playing darts with my friends!
Director of Officiating- NFL FLAG
As Director of Officiating for NFL FLAG, I am responsible for rule interpretation, training of officials and operate the role of lead assignor for regional and national tournaments. I am entering my 22nd year with the NFL FLAG Football program and I’m extremely excited to continue my officiating work with RCX.
In 2017 I contributed the content for the Flag Football portion in the ‘Fundamentals of Officiating’ course offered by USA Football. In 2011 I traveled to China to assist NFL China in the development and implementation of their officials training and certification course for the University Flag program in that country. I have been and currently the Youth Football Instructor for the Baltimore Ravens executing clinics and various community outreach events for the past 22 years.
I have also held the position of Regional Manager, Advisory Board Member and League Organizer in addition to Official and Coach for NFL FLAG.
Manager, NFL Club Relations
As Manager of NFL Club Relations, I act as a liaison between Reigning Champs Experiences (RCX) and all 32 NFL Clubs. My role is to assist in the strategic development of youth initiatives and help bring strategies to life for RCX and the NFL. Prior to RCX, I served as a Football Recruiting Coach at RCX sister company, Next College Student Athlete (NCSA).
My favorite part of my job is being a part of a team that is helping grow the game of football at every level. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing basketball and sharing a good meme or gif.
My freshman year I played defensive back at Catawba College and later transferred to Georgia Southern University to earn my degree in sport management. Before joining the Reigning Champs team, I spent time at adidas, Rivals.com, ESPN, Student Sports and with the Miami Dolphins.
League Success Manager
As a League Success Manager for RCX, I work on the development, creation, and enhancement of technologies and resources to simplify business operations for NFL FLAG league operators. Prior to RCX, I spent 8 years with National Flag Football overseeing youth flag football programs and events as both a State Manager and Operations Manager.
My favorite part about my job is knowing the resources we create have the potential to turn dreams of owning a youth sports organization into a reality. I have been fortunate enough to chase my passion and love having the opportunity to help others do the same. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being outside, game nights, and sports, especially softball, football, and gymnastics.
Customer Service Manager
As Customer Service Manager for RCX, I oversee our team working directly with leagues, parents, and participants of our major event properties These include NFL FLAG and the Jr NBA. Prior to RCX, I was a college football coach at my alma mater, St. Xavier University coached the offensive line for the 2011 NAIA National Championship team. I also worked at Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) managing several teams that helped high school recruits find opportunities to play in college.
My favorite part about my job is knowing that what I am doing is helping athletes reap the benefits of playing sports. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son and am an avid Chicago sports fan.
As Marketing Manager for RCX, I develop and execute digital marketing strategies and manage digital, interactive, social media, web and e-commerce marketing campaigns. I graduated from Michigan State University, where I competed in track & field and graduated with a degree in journalism with a concentration in sports reporting. Prior to RCX, I worked as a digital editor for ESPN and most recently was a marketing manager for our sister company, Front Rush.
My favorite part about this job is helping to grow the love of flag football and shining a light on amazing youth athletes and league organizers. I also love traveling with my coworkers all over the country (and soon, the world?) In my spare time, I enjoy eating my way through Chicago.
As an Events Coordinator for RCX, I work on the operations side of the events team. The larger projects that I work heavily on are the Jr. NBA Regional Tournaments, NAIA Showcases, and NFL FLAG annual Summit. Prior to RCX, I worked for the University of Arkansas and the Kansas City Royals in similar operations roles.
My favorite part about my job is being around sports 24/7. Sports meant so much to me growing up, so being able to provide that for athletes now is extremely rewarding. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling. Whether that is a trip to a new ski resort or flying across the Pacific Ocean to Bora Bora, I enjoy getting to see and experience new places.
Justin Dela Cruz
As a Marketing Coordinator for RCX, I coordinate event marketing efforts and assist with conceptualizing event integrations. Prior to RCX, I worked large scale endurance events as a marketing specialist. I graduated from Roosevelt University and graduated with a degree in hospitality and tourism management with a concentration in sports hospitality.
My favorite part about my job is knowing the experiences we create can turn to memories for the athletes. Plus, I get to work with some amazing people! In my spare time, I enjoy playing team sports, running, photography, and hanging out with family and friends.
NFL FLAG Sales Manager – West
As the Western Regional Sales Manager of NFL FLAG for RCX, it is my job to continuously grow and enhance the game of FLAG across the western half of the United States and around the globe. Prior to RCX, I was the sales manager at 9Round Fitness, worked multiple internships throughout the sports industry, and was heavily involved with youth sports for 8 years as both an official and head coach. I graduated with honors from the University of Kansas, where I earned a degree in sport management and spent time in the Jayhawk Sport Sales and Sponsorship Academy.
The best part about my job is traveling around the country to various NFL markets and hosting our Regional Tournaments that give participants the opportunity to qualify for our National Championships at the NFL Pro Bowl! In my spare time, I enjoy weightlifting, playing basketball, and eating Chipotle in as few bites as possible.
As an Event Coordinator for RCX, I work with professional sports organizations, sports marketing agencies, and major brands to deliver amazing experiences in youth sports and beyond! Prior to RCX, I found my love for sports and event operations in the Athletic Department of DePaul University where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in both relational and organizational communication. During my time there, I was also the President and Libero for the DePaul Men’s Club Volleyball team.
My favorite part about my job at RCX is being part of a team that creates unique activations that give youth athletes a one-of-a-kind experience. In my spare time, I enjoy coaching youth volleyball at Division 1 Volleyball Club on the north side of Chicago or taking a very large bite out of a donut.
Data Management Analyst
As the Data Management Analyst for RCX, I organize and analyze data for RCX across all of our properties. Prior to RCX, I worked various jobs in the sports industry including women’s professional soccer with the Chicago Red Stars, statistics and data management for STATS, and community service with the Chicago Blackhawks at their community rinks.
My favorite part about my job is getting to spend a lot of time with my wonderful coworkers while on the road and seeing the joy the kids have while at our events. In my spare time, I enjoy watching and playing sports, playing video games and reading.
Customer Service Coordinator
As a Customer Service Coordinator for RCX, I provide world-class service to a variety of different RCX properties. I recently joined the RCX team from USA Football where I worked with the NFL FLAG program.
My favorite part about my job is the satisfaction on the faces of parents and players after running an amazing event. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outside with friends and family and attending live music and sporting events.
Executive Assistant & Event Coordinator
As Executive Assistant for RCX, I work closely with Izell Reese on a variety of initiatives and projects. Prior to RCX, I worked as a recruiting coordinator for our sister company, Next College Student Athlete (NCSA).
My favorite part about my job is my amazing teammates! In my spare time, I enjoy watching Netflix, soaking up the sun and hanging out with family and friends.
Customer Service Coordinator
As Customer Service Coordinator, I work within most of the RCX properties and in collaboration with other departments to provide stellar customer service, in the form of emails, phone calls, and other tasks as they arise throughout the day. Prior to RCX, I graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in sport management, after college I worked in the construction industry and ticket sales as inside sales and customer service.
My favorite parts about this job are being able to make such a great impact on youth sports and being able to work with such a great staff that contains some industries best and brightest. Out of the office, I like to cook, listen to music, workout, play video games and the list goes on! I’m excited to be a part of RCX; this is just the start!
As an event coordinator for RCX, I help plan and coordinate the event properties RCX is responsible for. I work more behind the scenes of events, making sure everything runs smoothly. Prior to RCX, I was a volleyball player at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama.
My favorite part about my job is that I get to be around sports every single day. In my spare time, I enjoy working out and exploring my new home, Chicago, IL.
